Taught by DYU’s lead instructor Derik Eselius, the weekly Master Classes is a unique way to study classical Hatha Yoga in a dedicated, yet accessible, donation-based format.
Each month focuses on a dedicated topic. As the weeks pass, students accumulate workshop-quality lessons that move them forward on their continuous yoga journey. Perfect complement to yoga teacher training study and research.

OCTOBER THEME: Yoga and Sacred Sound
On one level, sound may seem quite ordinary, though everyone can appreciate a moving piece of music that stirs the heart and memories with vivid reckoning. Sound, in the yoga system, is a sacred point of entry into the deeper mystery and plays a vital role in our self-development whether we recognize it or not.
NOVEMBER THEME: Art of Asana
Asana is by far the most commonly recognized form of yoga practice, and an important aid in our pursuit of bodily wellness and spiritual realization. Traditionally speaking, asana has more to do with energy management than anatomical alignment. This month, learn how to artfully use asana for self-regulation and enrich your home practice.
DECEMBER THEME: Yoga of Devotion
It is said that it is not a question of whether or not we possess devotion, but rather, devotion in what? What then does devotion look like in the context of Hatha Yoga practice and moreover how does it forward our experience of life? Please join us as we enter the Yoga of Devotion

Welcome to Saturday Morning Master Class, join fellow underground yogis for 90 minutes of in-depth practice of asana, bandha, pranayama, chanting & meditation. The topic varies, drawing from the very best of the Wed. night series over time. Om Tat Sat.
