Established in 2003, we teach yoga as a holistic system – deepen the roots of practice and awaken hidden potential. Our select offerings include: weekly master classes, PWYC workshops and retreats. We specialize in (200 & 300 hr.) yoga teacher training.  Denver Yoga Underground is a safe and accessible haven for the deeper study of yoga.

Just a bit about me


My name is Derik Eselius. 

Personally, I was introduced to yoga on a rogue trip to India in 1991, just after highschool.

My first yoga revelation….

“I had no idea that it was possible to feel so alive!” 

This marked the beginning of a life long study – cultivated over decades by daily practice under masterful teachers, to whom I owe a great debt. Denver Yoga Underground is a reflection of my best understanding of how to share classical yoga in contemporary society in a way that is both equitable and sustainable.
