What are the Yoga Sutras & What Will You Learn?

The Sūtras of Patañjali offer a universal yoga teaching to reconcile the inherent difficulties of the human experience and find lasting peace.  It is a user’s manual to navigate the world most skillfully and fulfill our ultimate purpose and potential.  It does so with terse and uncanny wisdom that has withstood the test of millenia.

This workshop goes well beyond the standard teachings of the eight-limbs and provides students with deeper points of reference for their greater yoga journey. We will put theory into practice and exercise specific asana, pranayama, and meditation methodologies to cultivate a life of peace and spiritual realization.

This training will include the following points of learning and practice:

  • The Mystical Depth of OM
  • Two Sign Posts on One’s Life Path

Teacher:

Derik Eselius is the lead teacher and founder of Denver Yoga Underground. Derik first encountered yoga in 1991, just after High School, on an extended sojourn around the globe – the beginning of a lifelong passion and pursuit. While in India, he met and became a student of Baba Hari Dass, a yogic adept. Teaching full time since 2001, he skillfully and respectfully makes ancient knowledge accessible to the modern student.

  • Students can choose to attend either one day (Sat.) or the full weekend (Sat. and Sun.)

Cost:

Pay What You Can!  PWYC is an equitable format that allows everyone to participate according to their means while honoring the commitment, and dedication of the teachers.

Option #1: Fair Market Value Upfront: Some people would rather just have it all settled before the retreat gets started.

  • Sat. Only: $120
  • Sat. & Sun.: $240

Option #2: PWYC: Submit a deposit to secure your place, at the end of your retreat contribute any additional amount based on the value you receive, your means and what “feels fair.” If you can’t swing the deposit, reach out; no one turned away for financial reasons.
